Artists' catalogue and invitation design for a conceptual art exhibition What Happens When Nothing Happens,
centered around ideas of ordinary, mundane and everyday.
The catalogue and invitations reflect these ideas in an intentionally obvious manner, each format becoming a reinterpretation of an everyday object: a newspaper and envelope. An empty envelope and a blank front page physically become the notions discussed by the featured artists. Universal typefaces Courier and Times play on the feelings of everday banality and nostalgia which regroup the ensemble as well as reference specific peices. A spacious, slow-reading catalogue layout was implemented to accentuate the passing of time examined throughout the exhibition.
